About Gallery

Established by Ketevan Paitchadze in 2003, Art Gallery Line is a regional gallery specializing in modern and contemporary art. Art Gallery Line has  eight exhibition spaces across Georgia.

From its inception, Art Gallery Line has prepared and presented unparalleled museum-quality exhibitions of works by array of Georgian Contemporary artists such as Sergo Tbileli, Levan Vardosanidze, Temo Tailuri , Gia Japaridze, Maia Ramishvili, Mamuka Mikeladze, Mamuka Didebashvili, Gela Dumbadze,  Gogita Toidze,  Alex Berdysheff, David Popiashvili, Gia Revazishvili, Nino Gogolashvili, Tika Japaridze, Maia Mania, Mikheil tbileli.

Since its inception in 2003, Art Gallery Line has always endeavored to support and develop contemporary arts. In the past decade, with its commitment to the visibility of newly emerged and well-established artists both in Georgia and abroad, Art Gallery Line has reached an enviable position as one of the leading art galleries in Georgia.

Today, Art Gallery Line has eight locations across Georgia in Tbilisi —its headquarters at 7 Bambis Rigi Street – Art Gallery Line Grand Hall , which welcomed almost 100,000 visitors since the opening, and an adjacent small exhibition space at Bambis Rigi Street. Art Gallery Line was one of the first Contemporary art galleries in the region, pioneering and shaping the art scene of the region. The Art Gallery Line expanded its operations in coming years opening its new exhibition space in spring of 2022 in Kakheti.

For over two decades, Art Gallery Line has been helping creatives with their career development and promotion, as well as presenting established artists to the audience. We are proud of our accomplishments and realize that there is still a lot to be done. Our strategy for 2023-2025 will focus on accelerating the growth of talented artists and commissioning new exciting projects. We believe in being both a platform for promoting talented individuals and an active participant in contemporary art developments.

Our History

Art Gallery Line was established in May of 2003. At first The gallery was called elite gallery and was situated on Rustaveli Avenue in Hotel Marriot . During that time Art Gallery Line started its project Winds of Caucasus to establish a greater connection between art scenes of Caucasian countries such as Azerbaijan, Armenia and etc.

During 2006 Art Gallery Lines main exhbition hall relocated to the center of old Tbilisi , Manatshev Building at Bambis Rigi 7.

The move brought about many changes in the exhibition style and helped establish Art Gallery Line as a leading force in the Georgian art scene.
During the same year Ketevan Paitchadze started working on opening up another facet for the business: Art Gallery line in the Tbilisi Airport. This was a first for Georgia, and it helped us further cultural exchange and promote Georgian art around the world—all while providing one of the first touch-down points for visitors coming into Georgia.

In 2008 Art Gallery Line became a proud partner and host for project Hope Box .
Since the start of 2010 Art Gallery Line was working on further developing and popularizing contemporary Georgian art.

In 2018 Art Gallery Line Launched and sponsored Mixxer a platform for young artist to showcase their art and express their vision.
