Giorgi Vepkhvadze, born in Tbilisi, Georgia in 1979, is a versatile artist currently based in Brooklyn, New York. He received his formal education in the arts at the esteemed Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, where he focused on Graphics and earned his degree in 2002. Vepkhvadze’s artistic interests are broad and encompass painting, graphic art, and applied/decorative art.
His creative approach involves utilizing various techniques to create distinct textures, and his figurative compositions often employ monochrome linear abstractions to evoke a dramatic mood reminiscent of Biblical stories. Vepkhvadze’s unique artistic voice has established him as a highly individual artist whose work is recognized for its exceptional quality.
