Kuprava’s artistry is a delicate mix between the ethereal and tangible, a meditation on the transient nature of existence itself. His portraits, rendered in a minimalist palette of monochromes and duochromes, transcend mere representation to become windows into the soul. Employing a diverse array of mediums—from the traditional oil on canvas to the innovative mix medium- Kuprava captures the spirit of his subjects.

The artist’s penchant for exploring the nuanced textures of various materials adds a profound depth to his work. Whether it’s the tactile richness of oil on cardboard, the ephemeral intricacy of oil on net, or the robust solemnity of wood sculptures, Kuprava’s medium choices are as integral to his storytelling as the subjects themselves. His works, such as ‘Sophie,’ ‘Wolf Rider,’ ‘Medea,’ ‘Red,’ and the intriguing ‘Strange Bird,’ are not just portraits but narratives woven in the threads of color and form.
